Life doesn't always line up neatly with a studio visit. Maybe you live in another part of Lebanon, maybe you're travelling, or maybe you're part of the Lebanese diaspora and want to stay connected to a practice that feels like home. Or perhaps you simply prefer to rest in your own space.

That's why many Neo Nour experiences are offered both in person and online. In this Journal article, we'll explore the differences, what each format feels like, and how to choose.

As always, our sessions are complementary wellbeing practices for rest and reflection. They're not medical or psychological treatments and don't replace care from a health professional.

The same intention, two settings

Whether you join us in person or online, the intention is the same: a space to pause and reconnect. Your practitioner still checks in with you, guides the session with care, and gives you time to settle and come back gently.

What changes is the setting, and some practices naturally lend themselves more to one format than the other.

What an in-person session offers

Coming to Neo Nour in person means stepping into a calm room set aside for rest. Many people value:

• Leaving daily life at the door. The journey itself can become part of the ritual, a clear line between "busy" and "pause". • Hands-on practices. Light touch in Reiki, crystals placed on or around you, and tuning forks held close to the body are all naturally suited to being in the room. • A held space. There's something reassuring about having someone physically present while you rest.

In-person sessions take place in Lebanon. Read about your first Reiki session or crystal healing to see what a visit looks like.

What an online session offers

Online sessions are held by video call, and many people are pleasantly surprised by how restful they can be. They offer:

• Comfort. You rest in a familiar space, with your own blanket and pillow, and no travel afterwards. • Flexibility. Join from elsewhere in Lebanon or from abroad, at a time that suits you. • Continuity. Keep a regular practice going while you travel.

For hands-on energy practices such as Reiki, online sessions are often called "distance" sessions. Your practitioner guides you through settling in, then holds the session while you rest with the camera on or off, depending on what you agree together. People's experiences vary. Some feel calm and rested; some feel very little. Both are fine.

Choosing between them

If you're still deciding, consider what you need most right now. If you crave a complete change of scene and the reassurance of someone in the room, an in-person visit may feel more nourishing. If travel would add stress, or you're simply far away, an online session lets you pause without the journey.

Many people use both: an in-person session when they can, and online sessions to keep a gentle rhythm between visits or while they're away. There's no need to commit to one format. Let the season of your life guide you.

How to prepare for an online session

A little preparation makes an online session feel much more like a true pause:

• Find a quiet space where you won't be interrupted. Let others at home know you'll be unavailable. • Check your connection and charge your device. Headphones help with guided practices. • Get comfortable. Have a blanket, a cushion and a glass of water nearby. • Silence notifications on your phone and computer. • Plan a soft landing. Give yourself ten minutes afterwards before returning to messages or chores.

Questions people often ask

Does distance Reiki really work? We'd describe it simply: many people find online sessions restful and grounding, while experiences vary. It's a complementary practice, not a treatment, so there's no "result" you need to achieve.

Can I join from outside Lebanon? Yes. Booking times are shown in Lebanon (Beirut) time, so please convert to your local time when choosing a slot.

Do I need to keep my camera on? Talk to your practitioner. For some practices it helps at the start; during rest, it's often optional.

Does online cost differently? Check the price listed when booking each experience.

What if my connection drops? Don't worry. Reconnect when you can, and your practitioner will pick up where you left off.

Are online sessions suitable for health concerns? Neo Nour sessions are complementary, not medical or psychological treatment, whether online or in person.
